Expanding Your Reach:
Increasing Effectiveness with Others
Tuesday, September 21, 2010
12:00 to 12:45PM Eastern Time
While many of us like to think we are self-sufficient (and some of us like to think we are Superwoman or Superman), a lot of what we have to accomplish requires the cooperation, results and doing of others. Given that reality, how many people do you really count on for things?
Most of us have a very small circle of people we will ask to do things, and an even smaller circle we trust to deliver. We end up doing many things ourselves, including many things we could ask others to do - whether our job is as a manager or not. The impact? An overwhelming workload, multi-tasking to try and keep up, being unable to focus, preoccupied by the things we are not getting to, and a background of anxiety about things falling through the cracks.
We have very good reasons for why we don't ask more people to do more things. Yet, what if these reasons were a perspective we had rather than the "truth" about the other people? What if we could impact people's lack of reliability in doing things we ask? What if it were all a function of our own effectiveness? What would be possible if we elevated our effectiveness in asking and having others produce results that support us?
Join us for the free webinar "Expanding Your Reach: Increasing Effectiveness With Others". We will explore how we limit ourselves in having other people do things and develop perspectives and practical tools that can dramatically increase our power and accomplishment.
